Review by hotel critic
I recently spent a blissful Easter at Pousada Oasis Do Barral on Ilha da Gigoia, and let me tell you, it was like a breath of fresh air amidst all the hustle and bustle of Rio! The property perfectly captures that authentic community feel, surrounded by the untouched beauty of Barra da Tijuca, without the pretentiousness or high prices. With the stunning Pedra Bonita just around the corner, we couldn't resist taking a hang-gliding adventure, soaring high above breathtaking views. Our suite was incredibly comfortable, boasting air conditioning, a kitchenette for our morning coffee rituals, and even a private entrance to make it feel like our own little haven. Plus, the free WiFi kept us connected for sharing our escapades! The boat crossings to get around the island were a delightful treat, making our stay even more special. If you're looking for a charming retreat away from the usual international hotel scene, Oasis Do Barral is a tranquil gem that captures the essence of Brazilian hospitality.
